Yeah Katrina hit, like a brick around 3 am this morning. The roof leaked the wind blew the power went out for a minute or two. In all the cancled my morning class and I had Micro in the afternoon. Yesterday was my first day back to school after my two weeks of doing nothing much. I cleaned quite a bit over my break. Just getting some stuff out of the way that drove me crazy, dirty floors and such. I learned at I'm over eduacated and down right thin in this part of the country and that scared me because I still watch cartoons. Went and saw the brothers Grimm this weekend, cute and funny with lots of fun little extra's in the back to make you notice. I liked it. Feeling goood. School is skool. It seems as though I'm just going through the motions and haven't learned much of anything nor retained from summer school. In the end its what you learn from the intership that makes the degree and then if you can get a real job. The rain came a went and we still have the wind, which is nice it's almost a nice temparture outside, I can't wait for fall. Well need to prep for school tomorrow, gotta make a lunch and stuff.

Even better new for spot
So get this, some one wants to buy Spot, so he's off to a new loving home. The new spot will be here with in the week. I can hardly wait. Don't know when but soon.
Crazy thunderstorms today. I had to drive in it. I don't think I should have driven but I really didn't have a choice in the matter the car would just steam right up if I stoped. I drove with the windows down some.
Well my vacation had come to a close and it's rather sad, back to school on Monday. Plus I lost a .5lbs this week and an inch from my waist. This GI diet is working I think. MMMM Fiber. Ok -Claire

Yeah I know it's been awhile
But..... it's been a sad time for me, see spot died. He lived a good life and you'll all be comfortered in the knowlegde that I was with spot until he died, he went peacefully in a power outage. I boxed him up and sent his body back to home, to Brian at Touchtech in renton where the final autopsy will be preformed and then he will have his organs donated to other computers in need. But spot will live on in a new computer a new thinner model, a 14" ibook. I haven't really though much about blogging as of late. I had a bunch of tests in the first two weeks of August and now I have two weeks off then I begin classes again on the 29th poooo. Thats ok they are for sure the last classes I will most likely ever have to take again in my life, unless I go and do something crazy like get my masters or something. odd. Looks like another thunderstorm is comming. When I get my new Spot I'll let everyone know. love claire and the ghost of spot which is haunting my apartment until he can find a new mac to inhabit the iPod is a bit cramped.

So damn hot!!!
Yes it's hot here, so don't ask. It's like I'm in a giant steam room all the time. I just keep waiting for a fat man in towel to walk by. ewwie. Went to see charlie and the chocolate factory over the weekend. It was great!!!!!! So strange and yet so fun. Finished harry potter, which is sad but it had to happen. I also made some rolls and did a bunch of laundry. You can't go outside it just too damn hot.
I took a test today and my favorite teacher quit. needless to say things are kinda crapie I don't even have another book to read, damn! I do have another test this week too, but its all half days. And on the cooler side we might get a cold front which could bring us down to a chilly 88.
heres a funny southern fact for you, in the summer people have their air down around 60 and in the winter they have the heat up to like 80. mmmm I want 70 all year round in side. I want to wear my sweater that I made. Everyone say Hi to Aaron and Emerald in nampa id. HI! ok well gotta go.

Summer time Clarksville
MMM, unknow bugs, heat, and this lack of rain is reeeeeeeeeeally starting to get to me. I'm waiting for the damn huricane to hit land so we can get some freakin rain around here. I know this will be nasty hot sticky rain that won't stop and will be quasi-monsoon rain but thats ok with me, its water that comes done from the sky.
the only plus to this heat is that i currently had 13 tomatoes growing. Two of these are turning red. I think maybe monday they'll be ready. I can hardly wait I don't even really like them I just want to grow them.
School' s been school. We could do more with our time but they haven't planned really well. That's ok I only have one class for the rest of the month that makes me very happy. I had a test last week and so far I don't have one this comming week which is a first for me.
Really nothing of any really interest has been going on here, just reallllly fat people in shorts, very scary. Any who, please email me or leave a comment if you're reading this thing.

Fireworks for sale in Target!!! What the F
Yeah, fireworks, the big huge pack with four million bottle rockets and a few roman candles, for sale in the damn Target. And around a zillion stands around town in parking lots as far as the eye could see. So thats Clarksville for you. Fat people in shorts and tank tops and tons and tons of fireworks. People are lighting them off all the time and it;s not the fourth. They're lighting them off durning the day. So odd.
Oh well I now live in another place in the world and things are new and different here. Any way I finished my sweater the other day. Very nice, I had to take the binding out of the neck and redo it because it was too tight but I fixed it. Its a huge sweater though. I've been cleaning the house a lot because I really have nothing else todo. Currently I've done all the homework I can because we haven't gotten all our handouts for the class yet. I'll start a new class on the 5th when I go back and finish one on friday. I got a nice plant for the living room, which I'm slowly working on. It will be done some day. Still haven't found a bed I want yet, but I really haven't looked to hard. Well any who, Its time to go, one more thing, If your reading my blog ie family memebers, please leave a comment so I know you're out there.

I have lots of time on my hands this weekend I hope to get pictures of my sweater up, the tomatoes and maybe a few a budgie. Today was a good day so I hope everyone eles has a good day too.

Seattle
So here I am in Seattle. We're taking a few days in June to see our families and relax. Unforntuanly with skool I have to do stuff like homework whil I'm gone.
An update about school. Yes I started four day late but I managed to catch up it was a lot more work than I want to but in. I have two classes and two labs that run from 8-5 with an hour for lunch monday through thursday. Friday I just have one class and one lab. I've already had three tests. I two more when I return to Clarksville. I've done some fun and interesting things so far. In Hemeotolgy I drew blood for my first time and I didn't hurt anyone. I also had my blood taken. I have great veins which is good to learn on, plus I'm ok with needles. Other than spending hours trying not to fall asleep on a daily bases skool (invader zim) is very good. The AC is rather chilli in the building so it's quite cold inside and very hot outside. I hate the weather. Well Any way here we are in Seattle. Will update the pictures when we return promise. -caw

86% Humminty?
Huh? is this possiable with out rain. They say we're going to get said thunderstroms but they have not come yet. UHG!!!! At least my tomatoes are very happy. My hair isn't, I've just puffed up into a ball of nasty frizz. Thank God for AC. Well I'm off to work again this monday morning, there was a fire in the vent system which I don' know any details about yet, but I'll let you know afer work. My Neighbor was there for dinner saturday night right after it happened. The AC was frozen and I think that's what caused it. Well we'll see won't we. I got some nice outdoor chairs so now I can sit out in the freaking hot. It's in the shade aleast. Had a rather uneventful weekend, Dinner with the Fords on Saturday night and grilled cheese on Friday night. Ross was stilll feeling the 3hours of sleep in 48 from the Best Cav compittion. He had his foot rolled over at PT on friday too and it was all puffy, so we forwent any real outdoor activity. Got myself an Iced tea maker to top off a really thrilling weekend. Well off to work. Check back latter for all the dirt on the fire.

Morons and Idoits
Have you ever thought, mmmmm I work with a bunch of MORONS. I think this every day, ever single day that I wake up and go to work. Well they aren't all morons in fact quite a few are great, but just a small number can spoil the whole bunch.
Ok that's enough.

Roll on Columbia Roll on......
Ok so the Red river is not the Columbia, and it really doesn't even roll is kinda putzes along, but floating down it fun and you don't run the same risks as the mighty Columbia. So on Sunday we packed up the car and got a bag of ice for a nice, 5 hour float down the river. It was great. We saw tons of turtles, a snake and a vulutre. Only a few aplances in the river and no cars. Though I must say I was pooped at the end. It was a great way to spend a weekend.
Speaking of weekends, Mike came up from Alambama for the long weekend which was fun. He got a brand new Honda Element, black. We hung around and watche a lot of real bad movies. He Floated down the river with us. He should be getting his airframe soon and he also has to pick is new duty station. Eh, in all it was a good time.
Thursday, last thursday I spent the morning watching around 2800 folk all dressed in the new ACU's, yeah it was the division review. It was long and toasty and very cool. If you stuck it out for the full 2 hours you got to see a fly over of the four major airframes, and the towed artillery pieces. I took Four rolls of pictures. I'll get them on disk don't worry. Ok well Alton Brown is on and I should watch.

..a long time ago.......
We all know the rest don't we, at least the Star Wars fans out there do. Yep we went and saw the third star wars, and it was fabulous. It all comes full circle in a great display of light sabers and a younger more equiped R2D2. With my coke slushie and box of raisinette, which where half gone by the first scene, we enjoyed the whole movie. There are some seriously graphic scene, with burning flesh and such but they are done nicely, if you can do that sort of thing nicely. Bad acting is good acting here and sunsets from your childhood movie going memory apear on the screen in the form of two suns setting over the sandunes. It's like watching old family movies and finding out the secrets that until now have gone unspoken. Do go see it if your a fan.

send in the clones
To quote a Simpsons tree house of horor, Ross played a softball game last night. Yeah, called after 2 innings because the score was 23 to 1, them. It was the air force softball team, with matching uniforms, you must say that kinda snotty. Yeah that thought they were special with those uniforms, but we all know the truth, CLONES. A military plot to create overly good softball players to send to the olympics. Ok so they were good, but their pitcher had trouble, just a little. It was the matching uniforms and hats. Enough about the air force and their matching uniforms.
Just another day at work today, cross your fingers that nothing strange happens. Yesterrday way a big day with lots of people and only a few snotty ones. Josh takes over as manger today while Mettie goes to the other side of the pond for two weeks. Terri's got the day off. We'll see if the bathroom stinks today and if it does, I'm not going to mop, the smell it to much to get the cleaning closet. It almost made me puck yesterday, soooo close. YUCK. Weather is good and so Im going to walk, need the exercise because I didn't do it this morning. Well off to get ready for the day.

Strange and interesing things
Hey, well another day and nothing much to talk about. Currently on a new job hunt to find a place that's more interesting and more clean. All that microbiology has made me want clean things but then again I don't really get paid enough to care. I was accepted to Austin Peay State University on friday which is good. It wasn't like I wasn't going to get in but it does feel good to be accepted. I won't start until next june though because of the way the program works. Oh well that gives me a whole year to make money and pay for school and get a new computer. Other nifty things. Ross and I went to the customs museum in Clarksville. It was very nice. Ned, who is the executive director comes in for lunch every day at the restaurant. We got to meet the resident reptile, named tiggie, she lives in the museum store and comes out now and then to greet people. MMMMM what eles. Finished the back side of the sweater for my knitting class and finished the felted tote that I was making, it turned out great, check out the before and after pictures. Well not much eles happening around these parts so check back latter.
